Sessions with Emily include unique and comprehensive approaches that are tailored to each client based on their individual needs and interests. Emily takes a relational, collaborative, and integrative approach to her clinical work, and has been a specialist in the field of trauma for over 20 years. Recently, Emily has started to incorporate frameworks such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) to her trauma-informed lens and approach, drawing upon her own experience with IFS over the past several years. While Emily is not certified in IFS, she uses her lived experience with the model to provide an integrated framework for inquiry and collaboration with her clients. Emily also uses embodied healing approaches and practices, such as Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) that can be integrated into psychotherapy sessions, or offered as a stand alone or adjunctive service.
In addition, Emily also specializes in perinatal mental health, offering services tailored to womxn during the time leading up to pregnancy, birth, and beyond, which can also include body-based approaches based on client’s interest.
